running my fingers
over your face
is running fingers
over shattered glass,
my fingers become riddled
with tiny cuts and shards,
and an ample reminder that
your face, as it is,
is quite beautiful,
with its many deflections
and defractions
so keep smiling
for it is the most
beautiful of all.
